My background and how I work
I have been in clinical practice in the Montreal region for over thirty years, and I have treated a wide range of patients including those with issues of depression, grief and mourning, pre-palliative, palliative and post-palliative circumstances, birthing circumstances, low self-esteem, difficulties43 or conflicts in relationships, family problems, phobias, and post-traumatic stress. My clientele includes individual adults, couples, children, adolescents and families.
The approach I use is eclectic, and tailored to the needs of the patient. Treatments may incorporate elements of psychoanalytic-psychodynamic therapy, a cognitive approach, grief counselling, EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), Core Energetics, hypnotherapy, toning, and (less frequently) art therapy.
I hold a masters degree from the Université du Québec a Montréal, and I have completed an internship at the Jewish General Hospital's Institute for Family and Community Psychiatry. Also, I have had extensive training in the use of Eriksonian and traditional hypnosis in psychotherapy.
